Extend AdforceX functionality with Plug-ins for InDesign
The AdforceX plug-ins for Adobe InDesign are what complete the plan-to-print pipeline. Once your ad layout is done in AdforceX, these three plug-ins handle the handoff to InDesign — opening layouts, overlaying the ads, resolving missing file links, and splitting documents across your production team. Compatible with InDesign CC 2023 through 2026 on both Mac and Windows.
AdImport Plug-in
Once your AdforceX ad dummy is finished, it’s easy to generate production files with the AdImport Plug-in for InDesign.
AdImport lets you open the ad layouts directly as Adobe InDesign pages or overlay onto existing InDesign templates, complete with page information, ad placements, rules (with Rules Manager) and links. The overlay option lets you place ad layout pages directly onto your existing InDesign templates — no need to rebuild page structures from scratch. Ad images are also displayed if their links were resolved in AdforceX with Smart Links.
Fido Plug-in
Missing ad files after the ad dummying deadline are a production headache. Fido eliminates it.
Our Fido Find File Links Plug-in quickly establishes file path information so missing or late ads can be easily updated in InDesign production files after the ad boxes are placed using AdImport. Fido sniffs out the digital ad files that were not available when the AdforceX dummy was created, eliminating the need for the InDesign user to manually find and link those last ad boxes to their appropriate files. No more tedious hunting through volumes and folders to find out where the graphics are. Just ask Fido to check the imported links, or give Fido a starting point on your network, and it automatically hunts down each ad and attaches the correct file path.
Split & Folio Plug-in
Split large InDesign documents into individual page files so multiple page designers can work simultaneously — without stepping on each other.
Got a department full of layout designers and only one document? Divvy up the pages of your layout document with Split & Folio and let everybody get to work. Split & Folio preserves the information of the original InDesign document while letting you deal out single pages or page ranges. Just open the original and click the Split & Folio “Save as Pages” option under the File menu. You’ll be prompted to enter the page range, and whether to save a document for each page or a single document with multiple pages. The new documents retain all the properties of the original, including all the attributes inherited from AdforceX, such as ad placements, file links, page labels and folios.
